Chery Posts Record Sales in 2025 and Makes an Impressive Debut in Greece

  • Over 2.8 million vehicles sold worldwide in 2025

  • China’s No.1 vehicle exporter for 23 consecutive years, with 1.34 million exports (+17.4%)
  • 1,027 registrations in Greece in just six months

Chery, China’s most export-oriented automaker, further strengthened its global footprint in 2025, delivering another year of remarkable growth. The company retained its position as China’s leading vehicle exporter for the 23rd consecutive year, while Greece played a meaningful role in this success story. Despite its short time in the local market, Chery Greece exceeded expectations with 1,027 registrations.

Globally, Chery sold 2,806,393 vehicles last year, marking a 7.77% increase compared with 2,603,916 units in 2024. Notably, nearly all of this growth stemmed from the company’s expanding export performance — a clear reflection of its strategy to develop products tailored to the diverse needs of international markets.

Exports reached 1,344,020 units in 2025, up 17.4% year-on-year from 1,144,588 in 2024, securing Chery’s title as China’s top vehicle exporter for the 23rd straight year. To date, more than 18.5 million Chery vehicles have been delivered across global markets where the brand operates.

Chery in Greece: Strong momentum in just six months

Chery officially entered the Greek market in July 2025 with the Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8 SUVs. Equipped with Chery’s advanced Super Hybrid plug-in technology, comprehensive safety systems and high levels of practicality, the models introduced the brand to Greek customers with confidence and impact.

In September, the more affordable Tiggo 4 arrived to shake up the competitive B-SUV segment and broaden the brand’s appeal. Its value proposition was quickly recognised by the automotive press, earning it a place among the finalists for the “Car of the Year 2026” award.

During the final quarter of the year, with the Tiggo 4 fully available and brand awareness steadily increasing, Chery Greece accelerated sharply, ultimately reaching 1,027 total registrations. In December alone, Chery ranked 9th overall in monthly sales and 1st among Chinese manufacturers, capping off a highly successful first year in the country.

Network expansion has been a key priority for Chery Greece, a member of the Spanos Group. The company currently operates 12 sales points nationwide, with plans to exceed 15 locations in the first months of 2026. This regional growth strategy is already delivering results: in December, Chery topped sales in the Prefecture of Preveza and ranked third in Kavala. In Attica — the country’s largest automotive market — the brand climbed to sixth place.

The strong response from Greek consumers in such a short period confirms that Chery has arrived with serious ambitions. Backed by annual global sales of 2.8 million vehicles, the company has already laid solid foundations for a leading position in the Greek market.

All signs point to 2026 as a breakthrough year, with Chery set to offer cutting-edge hybrid technology, safety, reliability and a new mobility experience that aims to exceed expectations.
